The Hardi fuel pumps have been designed as dual polarity so that they can be installed regardless of the positive or negative polarity of your vehicle. So if your vehicle is negative ground then the positive terminal must be connected to the ignition fed supply and negative terminal to the chassis. However if your vehicle is positive ground then the positive terminal must be connected to the chassis and negative terminal connected to the ignition fed supply.
